El juego es una actividad esencial para el desarrollo de niños y niñas. A través del juego, no solo se divierten, sino que es la principal ocupación del infante y el medio para el aprendizaje de habilidades físicas, sensoriales, cognitivas, emocionales, sociales y del lenguaje. Este artículo expone la influencia de cada tipo de juego en cada una de las áreas anteriormente mencionadas, haciendo hincapié en la importancia del juego en todas las esferas del desarrollo humano.
Play is an essential activity for the development of boys and girls. Through play, they not only have fun, but it is the infant’s main occupation and the means for learning physical, sensory, cognitive, emotional, social and language skills. This article exposes the influence of each type of game in each of the aforementioned areas, placing special emphasis on the importance of play in all spheres of human development.
