En España la profesión del trabajador social en atención primaria se incluye en las instituciones de la salud a través de la reforma sanitaria de los años 80. La figura del trabajador social sanitario en atención primaria forma parte de un equipo multidisciplinar con el que se coordina e interviene con los pacientes y familias para mejorar su calidad de vida, bienestar emocional y social. Es importante resaltar que el objetivo de este artículo es realizar una revisión bibliográfica sobre el trabajo de salud comunitario y con grupos y exponer las competencias que tiene el trabajador social en este ámbito.
In Spain the profession of social worker in primary care is included in health institutions through the health reform of the 80s. The figure of the health social worker in primary care is part of a multidisciplinary team with which they coordinate and intervene with patients and families to improve their quality of life, emotional and social well-being. It is important to highlight that the objective of this article is to carry out a bibliographic review on community and group health work and to expose the competencies that the social worker has in this field.
