Las picaduras de garrapata tienen gran importancia sanitaria debido a las enfermedades que transmiten a sus huéspedes.En nuestro país, las enfermedades más habituales que transmiten son la fiebre botonosa mediterránea, la borreliosis de Lyme y la fiebre recurrente. Es necesario que exista una buena prevención para evitar las picaduras, una correcta extracción del artrópodo y una educación sanitaria sobre las posibles complicaciones.
Tick bites have great health importance due to the diseases they transmit to their hosts.
