La patología del raquis, en concreto, el dolor lumbar es el motivo de consulta más frecuente dentro del aparato locomotor, tanto en Atención Primaria como Especializada.
En 2018 se creó la comisión de raquis del Hospital Universitario Miguel Servet (HUMS) de Zaragoza para establecer los criterios de derivación de pacientes desde otros centros o áreas.
Es por ello que llevamos a cabo un estudio observacional descriptivo sobre el total de pacientes derivados desde Teruel, Alcañiz, Huesca y Barbastro, a la comisión de raquis del HUMS, desde el año 2019 hasta el 2023; con el fin de conocer el porcentaje de pacientes valorados por cada especialidad que compone la comisión, así como el porcentaje de pacientes que finalmente requieren tratamiento quirúrgico o intervencionista.

In 2018, the spine commission of the Miguel Servet University Hospital (HUMS) of Zaragoza was created to establish the criteria for the referral of patients from other centers or areas.
That is why we carried out a descriptive observational study on the total number of patients referred from Teruel, Alcañiz, Huesca and Barbastro, to the spine Commission of the HUMS, from 2019 to 2023; in order to know the percentage of patients assessed by each specialty that composes the commission, as well as the percentage of patients who finally require surgical or interventional treatment.
