Se realiza un Plan de Cuidados para una paciente de 66 años, a la que por motivos de confidencialidad llamaremos Y; manteniéndola de esta manera en el anonimato. Es una paciente un tanto peculiar debido a su trato hacia el equipo sanitario. No es correcto hablar de malos y buenos pacientes, pero sí que es verdad que sus modales hacia nosotros dejan mucho que desear, haciendo la situación un tanto “complicada”.
La intervención consiste en una osteosíntesis con placa y tornillos del radio distal por fractura de este. Es una intervención relativamente corta (42 minutos). En la cual participaron un cirujano, un comercial experto en las piezas que se le colocarían, un médico anestesista, un enfermero instrumentista y una enfermera circulante. No hubo complicaciones y posteriormente se le trasladó a la planta en la que había ingresado para el perioperatorio y en la que permanecerá un par de días hasta que reciba el alta médica.
El objetivo final de esta intervención quirúrgica sería la correcta alineación de los fragmentos del radio para su posterior curación y recuperación de la movilidad de la extremidad intervenida, obteniéndose de este modo una plena funcionalidad, que es la razón por la que acudió al servicio de traumatología.
A Care Plan is made for a 66 year old patient, whom for confidentiality reasons we will call Y; thus keeping it anonymous. She is a somewhat peculiar patient due to her treatment of the healthcare team. It’s not correct to talk about bad and good patients, but it´s true that their manners towards us leave much to be desired, making the situation “complicated”.
The intervention consists of osteosynthesis with a plate and screws of the distal radius due to its fracture. It is a relatively short intervention (42 minutes). In which a surgeon, a commercial expert in the parts that would be placed, an anesthetist, a scrub nurse and a circulating nurse participed. There were no complications, and she was subsequently transferred to the Ward where she had been admitted for the perioperative period and where she will remain for a couple of days until she is discharged.
The final objective of this Surgical intervention would be the correct alignment of the radius fragments for subsequent healing and recovery of mobility of the operated limb, thus obtaining full functionality, which is the reason why she went to the traumatology service.
