La lumbalgia se caracterizó por el dolor musculoesquelético en la zona lumbar que puede llegar a irradiarse hacia las extremidades inferiores. En la mayoría de los casos se soluciona con analgesia oral y relajantes musculares y la reanudación a las actividades físicas de forma progresiva, evitando el reposo absoluto.
El paciente de 42 años ingresa al servicio de Urgencias en silla de ruedas debido al dolor lumbar irradiado a las piernas que, tras llegar al diagnóstico adecuado y aplicarle el tratamiento, es dado de alta al domicilio.
Low back pain is characterized by musculoskeletal pain in the lower back that can radiate to the lower extremities. In most cases it is resolved with oral analgesia and muscle relaxants and the gradual resumption of physical activities, avoiding complete rest.
The 42-year-old patient enters the Emergency Department in a wheelchair due to low back pain radiating to the legs. After reaching the appropriate diagnosis and applying the treatment, he is discharged home.
