Covid-19 caused irreversible damage, and in some cases, sequelae in individuals with different symptoms that affect the quality of life in several ways; the consequences are not yet very clear, However, the symptoms that prevail at the time of discharge from hospital often persist and impair individuals’ ability to perform daily life activities, quality of life, mental, social and physical health. Quality of life is understood as the person’s perception of well-being with regard to their physical, psychological and social health, and the expectations they have about it. OBJECTIVE: To determine the self-perception of quality of life in people who recovered from VOCID 19 and the most frequent consequences referred to in a first-level unit. MATERIAL AND METHOD: An analytical, observational, cross-sectional, retrospective study was carried out on 148 patients between the ages of 18 and 65, users of family medicine unit No 1 in Orizaba, Veracruz, during the time comprehended between June and August 2022, who were diagnosed with VOCID-19 at least three months prior to the interview, to which a sociodemographic data collection and possible cardiovascular, respiratory, neuropsychiatric, gastrointestinal, renal and hematological sequelae sheet was applied, as well as the instrument SF-36 to determine the quality of life. The results were collected in an Excel database, and the analyzed using the GraphPad Prism 8 statistical program, where descriptive statistics were expressed by frequencies and percentages for qualitative variables; the association between quality of life and post-covid sequelae was measured by applying the statistical test X2, considering statistically significant, a p value of <0.05. RESULTS: When determining the quality of life, most of the patients, 134 (98.6%) self-perceived a better health status after the covid – 19. The sequel of greater frequency in the study population was neuropsychiatric with 59 (39.8%). Finally, when performing the association of sequelae with quality-of-life significant p were reported, except for hematological sequelae. Respiratory p= 0.0043, cardiovascular p=0.0010, neuropsychiatric 0.0005, gastrointestinal 0.02, renal 0.01.
CONCLUSIONS: derived from the results obtained, the alternative hypothesis is confirmed «There is an association between the self-perception of the quality of life in people recovered from VOCID 19 and the existence of sequelae in a first level unit; Currently the sequels that continue to gain greater relevance are the neuropsychiatric ones, that, in this study were found most frequently However we must not forget that this is influenced by the perception of each patient and not so much by the impact of the disease on them.
